These items, in textual and artifact formats, document information about these businesses and the different methods of and approaches to the advertisement of commercial goods and services from the 19th century to 2004. Included in this series are calendars, stickers, coupon books, ink blotters, magnets, memorandum books, needle cases, notices, recipe booklets, sheet music, pocket knives, rulers, illustrated fans, medicine bottles, tins, a cigar case, a matchbook, and playing cards.
