Herzberg was the undergraduate coordinator in the Psychology department, responsible for managing the enrolment of some 1000 students each year in a large array of courses, and for advising students. In place of student line-ups in those pre-computer days, Herzberg devised a scheme called priority registration and early enrolment, which was also taken up by other departments.
