Series consists of research material, notes, drafts, interview transcripts, proofs, reader report and promotional material for many of Axelrod's published works including "The Economy, Government and the Universities Of Ontario, 1945-1973", "Scholars and Dollars: Politics Economics and the Universities Of Ontario, 1945-1980", "Making a Middle Class: Student Life in English Canada During the Thirties", "Transition: Schooling and Employment In Canada" and "The Promise Of Schooling: Education in Canada, 1800-1914". Series also includes copies of articles, reviews, papers and other material written by Axelrod.
