Biographical Sketch/Administrative History: | |
The Earl's Court Project was created to organize the first English school for immigrant women and their pre-school children, provide tutoring services for immigrant high school students, and encourage citizen participation in community development programmes. This project became a model which attracted government funding for similar initiatives across the province. Norquay was the volunteer director for the Earl's Court Community project in Toronto, Ontario during this period.
