The Community Committee on Immigrants was a committee dedicated to the planning and organizing of numerous seminars and conferences to develop understanding between various immigrant groups and Canadians. It also conducted pilot projects with high schools to discover ways of mitigating conflict between immigrant children and their parents, to encourage immigrant children to read at home, and organized the first community "ethic" information centre.
