Series consists of records from the professional and personal activities of Professor Bernard Gutsell, including: his handwritten diary of a visit to Norway in 1945 as a geographer attached to a Royal Air Force reconnaissance team sent to Europe to recover intelligence data and document the countryside; a large-format, typescript and copiously illustrated report based on reconnaissance in eastern Norway in 1945; resumes and photographs from London, ca. 1947; typescript copies of his report, An Introduction to the geography of Newfoundland, 1949, with a review of the publication; clippings and programmes for film clubs in London and Ottawa, 1948 and 1951.
