Administrative History:
Marc Egnal (1943- ), a member of the History Department at York University, began teaching in 1960 following the completion of his doctoral work at the University of Wisconsin. He is the author "A mighty empire: the origins of the American Revolution," (1988), and articles on revolutionary-era politics.
Scope and Content:

Fonds consists of a typescript of Marc Egnal's "A mighty empire: the origins of the American Revolution," which was published in 1988. It includes a set of lists and tabulations of pre-revolutionary 'factions'.

Access is partially restricted. Written permission to view closed files must be obtained from Marc Egnal, History Dept., York University, and be directed to the Archivist, York University. The lists and cross-tabulations of American colonial "factions" are closed.
