Administrative History:
The Canadian Association for Irish Studies was established in 1956 to encourage study and research in all fields of Irish culture. In March 1974 the Association held its seventh annual seminar at York University.
Scope and Content:

The fonds consists of eight audio reels which contain the papers read and proceedings of the seventh annual seminar of the Canadian Association for Irish Studies held at York University in March, 1974. Included on the tapes are a poetry panel of Seamus Heaney and Michael Longley, proceedings of the Yeats Evening, a concert of traditional Irish music, and related material.
