Biographical Sketch/ Administrative History: | Edgar Tilden Alberts (1905- ), businessman, was president of the Toronto Flying Club in the 1950s and sat on the Organizing Committee and later the Provisional Board of Governors of York University (1957-1959). Alberts was invited to Moscow in 1955 and 1956 to view the Soviet air show and in 1958 he was part of a business delegation that travelled to Moscow to investigate Canadian business opportunities there. He organized a second trip to Moscow in 1964 that was attended by representatives of several major Canadian companies. |

Custodial History: | Accession 2 (1985-003) was originally deposited in Founders College, York University and was transferred to the York University Archives in November, 1985. |
